Australian Tropical Rainforest Life

PALE-YELLOW ROBIN
Tregellasia capito 13 cm

·         The Pale-yellow Robin is endemic to rainforests in eastern Australia, where it is common but inconspicuous.

·   Mostly it is seen perched low in the forest, often sideways on a tree butt, before pouncing on small food items in the leaf litter.

·   The nest is an exquisite mossy structure, decorated with lichen and dried leaves.  It is often placed among the protective spines of a climbing palm.

·   Round Chambers Wildlife Rainforest Lodge it is observed every day at the forest edge or on the lawn.
